Abstract
Inter-sectoral convergence between Health and Nutrition activities is the focus of the Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND) programme under NRHM of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The ASHAs, Angan Wadi Workers, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives and the Panchayati Raj Institute members work as a team to ensure that services are provided on the VHND. The case can be used to discuss the challenges in convergence between various government departments in planning the services to be offered on the VHND, generating demand for the services through IEC / counseling and actually providing services on the VHND.
