Abstract
This case is on one of the aspects of functional management in dairying organisations viz. procurement. The specific aspect covered in this case is chilling of milk and its effect on reduction of sourage. An example of a village-level milk producers cooperative society is quoted. The incremental expenses of cooling the milk the incremental revenue to be earned are explained.
