Abstract
An analysis of the national income distribution in India during the period 1953-54 and 1956-57.It shows the pattern of income distribution of rural and urban sectors as well as in different categories of income.With the help of the data given in the case the students are expected to establishe the relevance of the pattern of income distribution to economic deveploment.
