Abstract
This note Attempts to state the nature and scope of the objectives that public sector undertakings should have in India. The concepts of goals and constraints are introduced, and the relationship between policies and objectives are brought out. The note could be a basis for discussing and evaluating the objectives and performance of public sector undertakings.
