Abstract
The single-centre publication strategy of The Hindu is posing problems in light of competition from multi-centre publications, local loyalties, regional differences, and transportation problems. The Hindus strategy raises some short-, medium- and long-term issues in light of scarcity of newsprint and increasing costs.
