Abstract
In this module, we will discuss the procedure of testing statistical hypotheses which is an important arm of statistical inference. This procedure revolves around the specification of two hypotheses (each a statement about the parameter) and them selecting one of those based on some well defined statistical technique. In doing so, we will be introduced to some importance concepts and quantities like p-value", "test statistic", which are ubiquitous in the statistical literature.
