Abstract
A television set was installed in a village for enabling the cultivators to watch a programme on agricultural practices (Krishi Darshan). But the set was used mainly for entertainment purposes. Villagers from nearby areas used to frequent the village for watching the entertainment programmes. This and various other factors led the village officials to request the withdrawal of the TV set.
