Abstract
This technical note discusses major recent strengths and weaknesses of Indian agriculture with some past perspective. The purpose is to introduce the students with the present basic strong and weak characteristics and performance of this sector. And the second purpose is to provide an opportunity to discuss how to facilitate the former and overcome the latter for more rapid development of agriculture.
