Abstract

The note discusses different aspects of market segmentation keeping in view the nature of the Indian rural market. A discussion on market segmentation is incorporated on the basis of distribution of land holdings. Disparities in disposable income, and consumer expenditure at the aggregate level with respect to the intersectoral flow of consumer goods are discussed.
