Abstract
The Agricultural Finance Corporation was induced to undertake financing of minor irrigation schemes by the Agricultural Refinance Corporation. A scheme for financing the farmers for the construction of tubewells in one of the talukas of West Godavari district was prepared by AFC, the State government assured all necessary help for executing the scheme. The objective of the case is to explain how financing by area approach is done.
