Abstract

The case deals with several kinds of uncertainties that were involved when Jindal South West (JSW), the largest steep producer of India, carried out a project for the 'single block blast furnace technology' for their integrated steel plant at Dolvi, Maharashtra. The company engaged in executing this mass operation which was carried out for the first time in India. It is an advancement in the technology development of revamping of blast furnace in the history of project management of the blast furnace route of steel making.
