Abstract
The case describes an experiment by a Farmers' Service Cooperative Society in financing agriculture. It includes data on the increase in the net income of farmers due to greater investment and modern agricultural practices, and highlights the importance of risk coverage under such an experiment. The concept of risk, the farmers' perception of it, and its implication in his investment decisions are brought out.
