Abstract
Discusses various aspects of the scheduling function. Discusses the basic structure, basic technology, and types of models relating to scheduling. The problem is then formulated in quantitative terms and Gantt chart representation is given. Various assumptions made in the analysis of scheduling problems are critically reviewed and measures of performance are discussed.
