Abstract
Sampling distribution is a very important technique that helps us to quantify the “precision” of a statistical inferential procedure by analyzing the distribution (hence variability) of sample summaries about the corresponding population parameter. In this module, we will discuss the sampling distribution of the sample mean and proportion in detail. In doing so, we will be using the basic concepts of probability and probability distributions. Examples will be used for illustration purposes.
