Samardha InfoTech is an organization dealing in low-end BPO tele-services, with the theme “Sales as Service”. The company aims to provide employment to the needy; 60% of its employees are persons with various types of disabilities. Samardha strives to create an all-inclusive environment so that employees with disabilities, along with non-disabled employees, could perform to their potential. It provides a business case for employing and managing employees with disabilities in particular, and a diverse workforce in general. Current operations encompass processes for a telecom company and a bank, in India. Samardha will soon be going international with processes for an Australian client and a South African client. Whether Samardha will be able to emulate its values and culture in these new processes, and if it will be able to reconcile low-skill employees with newly hired employees having complex skill-sets, is to be seen.
