Abstract
This case deals with a project on establishing a rural piped water supply scheme in a village of Bihar. The Joint Chief Engineer, Public Health Division, Patna, Bihar, wanted to have a meeting to discuss his project. His team consisted of the village head, the Joint Chief Engineer (JEC) or Superintending Engineer (SE), Deputy Chief Engineer (DCE), Executive Engineer (EE), Assistant Engineer and the main contractor. The whole project is divided into project, activities and sub-activities. This concept is called hierarchical decomposition of work or work breakdown structure level -3 (WBS-L3). This concept was explained to all members present in the meeting.
