Abstract
The note describes the territorial distribution of drought-prone areas in the country. The classification is based on the rainfall and soil moisture contents. Contains annexures giving details of agricultural and human resources and other infrastructural facilities. It has been prepared with a view to identifying the problems/constraints in the development of DPAs and suggesting a suitable strategy for development.
