Abstract
Describes the regional and intra-regional organizational structure developed by the paddy marketing board for paddy and rice procurement in Sri Lanka. Organizational efficiency at regional level was studied with respect to staffing pattern, workload of the staff members, quantity of paddy and rice procured and the cost of procurement.
