Abstract
Shareholders, banks, financial institutions, internal management, government and others can usefully analyze the financial information contained in financial reports and statements. A commonly used technique for analyzing financial reports and statements is the ratio analysis technique. The note describes the concept of ratios, various types of ratios, effective use of ratio analysis, and limitations of the technique.
