Abstract
A trading organization starts manufacturing some of the machine tools it was selling, and finds difficulty in meeting the delivery schedules. The case highlights the need for inventory control, raw material standardization, establishment of operation standards, reorganization of functions, and other systems and procedures. A good deal of data on machine tools is given.
