Abstract
Discusses the condition in which scattered individual and project approaches of lending are used for the agricultural sector. It also discusses reasons why the latter approach came to be adopted by the institutional financing agencies in India. A perspective of both of these aspects is essential to appreciate constructively the problems in using the project approach and to find out an appropriate solution for overcoming the problems.
