Abstract
This note deals with the problem of price setting. After defining price and discussing the nature of pricing objectives, pricing decisions are discussed under three headings--needbased pricing, costbased pricing and marketbased pricing. In each case, various pricing options are discussed and evaluated. Practical approaches and procedures are also recommended. Finally, conclusions are drawn about how the pricing decisions should be handled in general.
