Abstract
This case focuses on an expansion programme coupled with a change in the product mix. The situation provides material for 1) assessment of the impact of product mix change on working capital, and 2) assessment of the incremental working capital requirements on expansion. The case shows how the additional working funds needed for expansion can be met out of the changes proposed in the product mix programme itself, thus calling for no dependence on outside financing agencies. The case can also be used for contribution analysis, and establishing commercial/financial viability of business proposals.
