| Learning Objective | This case can be included in courses on leadership, non-profit and design thinking and sustainability and project management. The case illustrates how a non-profit can organise its volunteer workforce to deliver an ambitious project. The main objectives of the case are: 1. Explore the key factors in planning and delivering a good experience for thousands of people across several days. 2. Examine how the PSM festival was organised on a piece of land that did not belong to the organisation and that had to be returned in the same condition to its owners. 3. Understand the sequence of planning and organising that went into conceptualising such a mega-project and then implementing it on the ground. 4. Identify lessons that could be extended to other temporary or permanent human settlements in developing countries and worldwide |
