Abstract
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) proposed pilot projects to test demonstrate some newly evolved strains of food crops in different parts of India. The Government of Madras had to decide whether to accept the proposal. Its paddy crops specialist was considering the project proposal in terms of its feasibility, desirability, long-term implications, impact on the agriculture of Madras state.
