Abstract
Presents an account of the development of the largest rayon filament yarn producer in the country; discusses the strategy which successfully integrated company operations for the manufacture of chemicals required by it, but failed to manufacture the most essential raw material--rayon-grade wood pulp; and illustrates how the company diversified its operations--first to manufacture rayon tyre cord, and then nylon tyre cord.
