Abstract
The Director of the National Institute of Siddha, Chennai, a postgraduate Siddha medicine teaching institute, has to decide on a strategy that would provide lessons to educational institutes of the AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) sector. The case provides an overview of the research and educational activities at NIS and poses the question, "How should NIS's teaching and research be aligned in the context of medical pluralism and the push for integration across the systems in AYUSH?"
