Abstract
How can marketing orientation be achieved in the formulation and implementation of company policy in the public sector? The case deals with the appreciation of marketing orientation by top managers in the public sector; and raises issues regarding the role of the chief executives in initiating the policy, and their relationships with the government and parliament.
