Abstract

This case brings out the processes and procedures followed for hospital patient discharge in Majestic Hospital. Concerns of the hospital management in identifying problem areas in service delivery and those of the patient’s family regarding patient discharge process are also highlighted. The protagonist of the case is the chief consultant of a consultancy group which had been approached by Majestic Hospital to find solutions. This case is suitable for analysis wherein the participants are required to find specific solutions to the issues on hand. The case analysis here should therefore focus on causes for delay in patient discharge and offer suggestions/recommendations to address unnecessary delays.
