Abstract
The formulation of a scheme aimed at providing milk to a major city and resettling Adivasis is discussed. The focus of the scheme is on promoting efficient use of land for animal husbandry and milk production purposes. The government, commercial dairies, and individual farmers are the three partners in the venture. The genesis of the scheme, its progression through various forms (including the resource requirement, organization, and the time schedule for completion) are the main points discussed in the case.
