Abstract
The case is designed to illustrate the concepts underlying the cost-benefit analysis. The computation of various criteria (payback period, net present value, internal rate of return cost benefit ratio) can be shown and the use of tables can be illustrated. The impact of incentive measures for promotion of development in backward areas can be brought out.
