Abstract

The Director of SEWA is discussing with her PMU (Project Management Unit) team of the indicators of Jeevika -- both quantitative and qualitative -- which should be considered for mid-term review of Jeevika project. The case contains information on Jeevika project, mid-term review of Jeevika project, various stakeholders and their role in project implementation, activities under the project, agreement about fund flow, project management, implementation and co-ordination among various stakeholders. The process of village identification and beneficiary identification, formation of Jeevika Sewa Manadals (village development committees), organization structure, elements of micro plan of a village, funds sanctioned, proposed and deployed, allocation of funds across various activities are given. The case unfolds issues in co-ordination, implementation of a project undertaken by an NGO with governmental and international funding agency.
