Abstract
The note examines the nature of the traditional Jajmani system in terms of its underlying processes. It also examines the basic assumptions of interpersonal relationships between different economic dimensions of a village society. The note then extends the understanding of these processes and assumptions of interpersonal relationships to the study of processes prevailing in a complex industrial system.
