Abstract
Shweta, Head, India Operations of FV IT Labs, was facing a decision dilemma. While she was aware of irrational behaviour on part of the founder and CEO of the company at times, there seemed to be nothing she could do about it. From trivial matters like bill payments to approval of employee leaves, his decisions were always forced. Such functioning of the company was causing immense discontent among employees, thereby raising the attrition rate. The CEO, who involved himself in every minute activity of the company, was forcing her to take an unpleasant decision. The case highlights the challenges faced by managers working in a micro managed environment.
