Abstract
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GNFC) received a communication in October 2021 from Western Railways (WR) directing GNFC to remove the pipeline adjacent to railway bridge no. 502 near Bharuch, which was used pump water to GNFC plant reservoir from Gadkhol water storage. This storage is located 11 km south of GNFC and is a part of a 100-acre land parcel owned by GNFC. The Managing Director of GNFC constituted a multi-departmental committee to generate and evaluate the options available to GNFC to reroute the Gadkhol pipeline.
