Abstract
The case provides an overview of the history and the subsequent privatization of the Male International Airport. It also highlights the importance of the development of the airport within the spectrum of economic development activities in Maldives. This case particularly focuses on the bid preparation by GMR Infrastructure Limited for the Male International Airport, which had adopted public private partnership (PPP) model. The bid preparation involves arriving at the competitive and viable numbers for the upfront fee, and fuel and non fuel revenues shares.
