Generalized Linear Model Using R

* Required Fields

Abstract

The aim of this technical note is to discuss the Generalized Linear Model (GLM) with examples through the software R. GLM has wide scope and includes Binary logistic regression, Poisson, Gamma, Inverse Gaussian and Multiple Linear Regression with Gaussian error. We have discussed binary logistic regression (BLR) and Poisson regression in detail. In addition, we have also considered the Multi category logistic regression model both with nominal and ordinal responses with a variety of data sets such as passengers on the Titanic, the impact of race on the decision to award the death penalty, and food choices of alligators based on their size etc.
