Abstract
In today's rapidly changing world, forecasting is an important part of planning. The future performance of an organization depends on the accuracy of forecasting. This note discusses various forecasting techniques, their applicability and limitations. The utility of a method depends on the situation. The most widely used method is the one suggested by Winters.
