Abstract
Describes the conditions under which agriculture is carried out in India, the manner in which people earn their livelihood, the components of their expenditure and savings and capital formation. It also deals with the relative position of various districts in selected states in terms of generating income their potentialities for consumption of sophisticated consumer goods agricultural inputs.
