Abstract

This technical note is based on the author's research of the nature and processes of the emergent social personality of young professionals in India. It explores the nature of transactions between these young professionals and the organizational hierarchy so heavily loaded with experienced managers. The note further postulates how Indian organizations, focused on techno?economic, econo?political and techno?scientific models of analysis, have tended to ignore the psycho?cultural modalities of the organization. The note then goes on to describe some back assumptions of the psycho?culture mode of analysis, and suggests that this mode of analysis is fundamental for making an effective diagnosis in the context of which these youths and organizations transact business.
