Abstract
The relationship between forecasting and company planning is highlighted. Forecasting methodology is delineated through describing the Agnostic, Barometric and Causal methods. Both stochastic and deterministic techniques are stated. The need for macro environment, market environment and market share analysis in company planning, through the use of forecasting methods and techniques is stressed.
