Abstract
Highlights the problems in dairy at aggregate level. Gives information on growth of industry, present status, and future plans. The function of dairy cooperatives and their operation has been discussed in detail. It draws specific attention to utilization of sheep and goat milk. The problem of non-economic value of solid non-fats in case of ghee production has been brought forth.
