Abstract
This is a brief summary of two studies in Indian entrepreneurship and management. One study argues that Indian entrepreneurs at the onset of industrialization were not inhibited by religion and caste, as is believed by some scholars. The other study provides evidence to suggest that Indian managers are open to modern ideas and values, in spite of their devotion to traditional norms.
