Abstract
A farmer having 45 acres of dry paddy land and 3.5 acres of wet paddy came to know about the profitability of growing hybrid maize and applied for a loan of Rs.600/- to the Branch of a commercial bank. Bank manager was to appraise the loan application in the light of the guidelines provided by the head office. This can be used as an introductory case in Agricultural Finance course.
