Abstract

This case is about the operating information systems of the Indian Railways in which there is a choice to be made about the configuration of the entire system. While at the central level, there will be a single node at Delhi and at the field level there will be nodes at nearly 300 area reporting centres, the choice is open regarding the intermediate node which can be either at the divisional level or at the zonal level.
