Abstract
The note describes the structure and performance of the commercial vehicle industry in India. Data on sales, production and financial performance of various companies operating in the industry are given. Also given are data on the plans of existing companies and those of new entrants. The student is required to assess the performance of the industry and project the prospects of growth in the eighties.
