Abstract
A new medium-sized-company wants to assess the demand for its scooters in India. The case depicts the problem of demand forecasting for scooters using the regression technique. An alternative approach based on the chain ratio method may also be used. The case provides data on the scooter industry since its inception in India (price, production, capacity etc.)
