Abstract: अहमदाबाद नगर निगम (एएमसी) अपने नागरिकों को तृतीयक स्तर की स्वास्थ्य देखभाल सेवाएँ उपलब्ध कराते हुए तीन बड़े अस्पतालों का संचालन करता है, जो हैं - वी.एस. अस्पताल, एस.सी.एल. अस्पताल, एवं एल.जी. अस्पताल। शिक्षा अस्पताल के रूप में, वी.एस., एस.सी.एल., एवं एल.जी. अस्पताल भारतीय चिकित्सा परिषद् (एमसीआई) द्वारा निर्धारित नियमों से कार्मिकों अथवा विभागों एवं रोगियों की देखभाल व शिक्षा के संबंध में बाध्य है। ये नियम एमबीबीएस तथा एमडी कोर्स के लिए दाखिला प्राप्त वार्षिक छात्रों की संख्या पर आधारित होते हैं। अकादमिक वर्ष 2000-01 के प्रारम्भ से, एएमसी ने नये वार्षिक एमबीबीएस दाखिले में 50 बैठकों की वृद्धि की। एएमसी चिकित्सा कॉलेजों के डीन ने प्रति वर्ष 150 वार्षिक दाखिलों के लिए एमसीआई के नियमों का अनुपालन करने के लिए प्रत्येक अस्पताल में चिकित्सा विभागों की पहचान की है। अस्पताल के अधीक्षक रोगी देखभाल के बारे में इस पुनर्गठन के प्रभाव के बारे में चिंतित हैं। ...
