Abstract
This case is on one of the aspects of functional management in dairying organizations, viz. procurement. The specific aspect dealt with in this case is on local transport of milk up to the pick-up point. An example of a village level Milk Producers Cooperative Society is quoted, which is facing the problem of local transport. The alternatives for local transport up to pick-up point are viewed.
