Abstract
The case describes the work of the ANM at Azampur sub-centre. The ANM is obviously quite effective because her inoculation and registration of antenatal work and clinic work is high. Her relationship with the village dais is cordial and they report pregnancies and births to her. Her family planning work is quite effective though she is not permitted to do IUD insertions. She is very popular in the village for the villagers come and request the chief medical officer in the case writer's presence not to transfer her from the sub-centre.
